From diagnosis to action
Practicum for Chapter 9, "Your Personal Career Audit." Version: 2026-06-20. Time: 10 minutes. This is a bridge, not the plan. The 90-day plan appears in Chapter 11: Personal 90-day plan. This page shows how to read your diagnosis so it leads to action instead of remaining a mirror.
Chapter 9 gave you a map: what is getting cheaper, the weak point, durable value, and one move up a level. A diagnosis alone changes nothing. Before you open the plan, answer three questions.
Three questions before the plan
- What should I protect from automation? Which task or skill will you continue doing yourself, at least in part, so you do not build cognitive debt or lose the practice that helps you grow?
____________________________________________________________ - What is my one-level move? In which task would moving up one usefulness level from Chapter 5 create the most value? Look for a move from "I produce" to "I own the result."
____________________________________________________________ - Which weak multiplier should I fix first? Which factor is closest to zero: market, leverage, transferability, or expertise? See the Weak Multiplier Canvas.
____________________________________________________________
Your answers form the outline of the plan. Turn them into specific actions, dates, and evidence:
