Practicum for Volume 2, Chapter 2, "More output does not mean more value"
An outcome comes from a process with verification and the right metric, not from the volume of output. Build rules around people rather than against them.
What to do in 20 minutes
- Choose one process and list its 5 to 7 tasks.
- Put them through the Human Review Matrix. Decide what AI can do alone, what needs review, and what remains human.
- For each task that needs review, mark the layer of the control loop and one flow metric instead of an output-volume metric.
Who this is for
- Specialist: identify where AI works alone, where it needs supervision, and where only you can act.
- Manager: place verification and name the person who owns the decision.
