Context

Business sales and outreach have high and rapidly growing automation in the AEI. Meetings, trust, and closing remain the human core of the role.

1. Preparation and outreach (high priority)

No. Goals KPIs Initiatives
1 Customer research and personalization preparation time · response Claude or ChatGPT · "3 openings based on the customer's problem"
2 Outreach sequences conversion · cost per touch Overloop or CRM AI · email A/B tests

2. CRM and analytics (high priority)

No. Goals KPIs Initiatives
3 Data entry and call summaries admin time · quality of next steps Bitrix24 CoPilot and amoCRM, RU CRMs with AI
4 Lead scoring and forecasting scoring accuracy · forecast accuracy AI scoring · conversation intelligence

3. Practice (medium priority)

No. Goals KPIs Initiatives
5 Practice handling objections win rate · readiness prompt: "Play a skeptical customer"

4. The role (foundation)

No. Goals KPIs Initiatives
6 Shift weight to meetings and trust % of time on high-stakes work less routine work, more negotiation and closing

Where to start: the first round

The tables are a map of what is possible, not your plan. Start with process scoring. Ask whether the task repeats, has enough volume, produces a checkable result, carries an affordable error cost, and has usable data. For most sales teams, the first round looks like this:

  1. No. 3, data entry and call summaries. It repeats on every call and has enough volume. Check the summary against the recording or your memory of the conversation. An error costs a note correction, not a deal.
  2. No. 1, customer research and personalization. Check the facts against public sources about the company. A person still finishes and signs the email before sending it.
  3. No. 5, objection practice. This is training, not contact with a customer. You can make as many mistakes as needed before the real meeting.

Not in the first round: No. 2, "outreach sequences," sends email directly to a customer. The role hub has a direct red flag: an impersonal template can damage the relationship faster than it saves time. No. 4, "lead scoring and forecasting," needs enough deal history, which you may not have. Ask the data question honestly. No. 6, shifting weight to meetings, is the result of the first three initiatives rather than a separate implementation task.

Keep these parts of sales human

  • Relationships and trust. A person handles core customers, negotiations, and the dynamics of a meeting.
  • Promises and deal terms. Final wording and responsibility cannot be delegated.
  • Email personalization. AI can draft it, but the signature and tone come from a person.
  • Strategic and difficult customers. Human work with them becomes more valuable.
  • Customer data from the CRM. Do not send it to third-party services without an approved environment.

Review points and stop thresholds

Initiative What a person checks Stop threshold (example, replace with your own)
No. 3 call summaries compare the notes and next steps with the recording or memory of the call a missed core next step means manually reviewing the recording before updating the CRM
No. 1 research and personalization verify customer facts and honest personalization before sending one factual error about the customer in an email means a full manual check of the next batch
No. 5 objection practice self-assess the answers and get mentor feedback when available if answers sound templated instead of fitting the deal, return to live practice with a person

Before you expand the flow, build a reference set of 20 cases: 20 real calls or emails with known outcomes, including what was said and what worked.

Two paths from here

Discipline

Impersonal templates cause damage. Check promises and terms. Keep CRM customer data inside an approved environment.

Role hub · audit · plan.
